Logging on to Eatec with Multi Factor Authentication
Users can also log on to Eatec using Multi Factor Authentication (MFA).
Launch Eatec on a web browser. The Login page appears.
Enter the username and password in the allocated fields.
Click Login. The MFA Authentication pop-up page appears prompting the user to validate the following fields:

Enter your email

Enter your phone number
The above fields are displayed only when the user logs in with MFA for the first time. After the first login, the MFA Authentication pop-up page directly displays the Enter your OTP field.
Modify the email and phone number if required.
Click Confirm. The MFA Authentication pop-up page displays the Enter your OTP field.
Click any one of the following options:

Send Verification OTP to Email
-
Send Verification OTP to Phone
The Confirm button gets enabled only after clicking any of the above options.
The validity of the OTP is displayed with a countdown timer (OTP validity period) along with a message that instructs the user to retry after the validity period in case of an unsuccessful attempt.

At this stage, both the Send Verification OTP to Email and Send Verification OTP to Phone options cannot be accessed by the user and gets activated only after the countdown time.
The OTP sent successfully message appears at the top right corner of the page.
Enter the OTP received through SMS or email.
Click Confirm. The Login Success message appears at the top right corner of the page indicating that the MFA validation for the user is completed successfully.
Select the site and role from the drop-down list.
Click Ok. The Eatec Dashboard page appears by default.
Contact Agilysys to configure Multi Factor Authentication for tenants in the Eatec Enterprise Management Portal.
An Eatec Admin user with permission to access the Users section under Setup ➜ Users can override the Multi Factor Authentication by setting the Authentication field to Single Factor Authentication in a user profile.
If an invalid OTP is entered, the maximum invalid attempt count will be displayed at the top right corner of the page as follows:

Maximum Count - 3, where 3 is the maximum log in attempts allowed using an invalid OTP.

Invalid Attempt Count - 2, where 2 is the number of attempts made.

On exhausting the number of maximum login attempts, a message indicating that the access is blocked for the user appears at the top right corner of the page.
At this stage, the Block User checkbox get automatically checked for the user in the user profile in Setup ➜ Users ➜ Users. An Eatec Admin user with permission to access the Users section under Setup ➜ Users can unblock the blocked user by unchecking the Block User checkbox in the user profile.
On unblocking, the user regains access with MFA authentication.
